It's difficult to find a truly unique collection of Chinese Propaganda Posters online. Luckily, at Hinky Imports- we've got you covered. I personally love propaganda posters of any kind, I like the American posters from WWII- and I would love to find some North Korean posters, but that's easier said...

I love the quirky sayings on propaganda posters from China, my mom once told me that when she was a kid they talked about the starving kids in China rather than the kids in Africa, and this was true at the time and sadly is true today. But I find it hilarious that while Americans were lamenting the Chinese situation, the Chinese were thinking of ways they could fight the American imperialists- and even how they could liberate us.

 Chinese Mao and The Red Guard Propaganda Poster

This poster shows Chairman Mao with his Red Guard behind him. Chairman Mao used the Red Guard to help him oppose his political rivals. This poster says, "Chairman Mao will always be with us".

 

Chinese Beat Down Imperialism Propaganda Poster

This poster says, "Unite the working class people of the world, beat down American Imperialism, Soviet Capitalism, and Counterrevolutionaries from all countries." This poster was printed in 1971- after China and the Soviet Union had ended their honeymoon- and is an example of what I mentioned above- that China felt it was important to save the world from us.

 

Chinese Right Revolution Propaganda Poster

This poster is all in black and red, many posters of that time were printed using only those two colors. The words say, "The Revolution is Right".

Bund Street Propaganda Poster

This poster says, "Mao is the greatest leader, and the greatest general." Bund street is one of my favorite streets in Shanghai, and the building in the back was owned by AIG, who bought it back in the 1980s.
